Christmas entertainment and experiences arrive at Disney’s theme parks

Festive decorations, dazzling lights and magical entertainment are here for the holidays.

Christmas is arriving at Disney’s theme parks across the world, and with it an abundance of trees, garlands, twinkling lights, fireworks and festive F&B.

Find out what’s on at Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Paris

Christmas is celebrated at Disneyland Paris until 8 January 2023. The festivities include an enormous Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., as well as music, garlands and snowflakes.

‘Disney Dreams! of Christmas’, a nighttime show with fireworks, dancing fountains and Christmas songs, has returned. Guests are immersed in Disney stories inspired by films including Frozen and Toy Story.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle’s rooftops are adorned with new eco-friendly LED lights that create effects that have never been seen before in a Disney park.

‘Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade’, which launched last year, has also returned. The attraction includes five colourful floats featuring Mickey and his friends, Disney princesses, and Santa Claus.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy can be found singing Christmas carols several times a day on the Videopolis stage with the ‘Let’s Sing Christmas!’ musical show.

L’Hiver Gourmand, a winter market, is back at Walt Disney Studios Park. Dishes on offer include gingerbread, crepes and hot chocolate.

Tokyo Disney Resort

For the first time in three years, Christmas celebrations have returned to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea through December 25. Highlights include a seasonal parade and festive décor and snacks.

The ‘Disney Christmas Stories’ cavalcade at Tokyo Disneyland stars characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Max, Woody, Buzz, Stitch, Anna and Elsa.

At Tokyo DisneySea, guests can enjoy entertainment including ‘Disney Christmas Greeting’ and ‘Christmastime with You’. Across the resort, guests can see seasonal fireworks during ‘Starbright Christmas’.

Disneyland Resort

Christmastide is on in California until 8 January, with Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney District and the resort’s hotels all home to festive entertainment and décor.

At Disney California Adventure, guests can take in the ‘World of Color – Season of Light’ nighttime spectacular, as well as live musical performances at various locations.

Also on offer is the ‘Mickey’s Happy Holidays’ procession featuring Disney and Pixar characters, and the ‘Disney Viva Navidad’ street party.

Over at Disneyland, Frozen‘s Anna, Elsa and Olaf are joining Mickey, Minnie and Santa for the ‘A Christmas Fantasy’ parade. In the evenings, guests can see fireworks and snowfall during ‘Believe… in Holiday Magic’.

The Haunted Mansion features its annual holiday overlay inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Sleeping Beauty’s Castle is illuminated with shimmering icicles and twinkling lights.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Available until 2 January, Hong Kong Disneyland‘s Christmas entertainment includes the ‘Mickey & Friends Christmastime Ball’ and ‘Santa Goofy’s Magical Snowfall’.

At the new ‘Duffy and Friends Winter Wonderland’ attraction, guests will meet Duffy and Friends in winter costumes and enjoy various photo opportunities.

In addition, Hong Kong Disneyland is debuting the new ‘Disney Live in Concert!’ series, offering a weekend of classical music, followed by a weekend of jazz, and a musical celebration on the final weekend.

Walt Disney World Resort

Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are being turned into enchanting winter wonderlands, available until 31 December.

The four parks are home to festive decorations, dazzling lights and Christmas trees, as well as attractions with holiday overlays, Disney characters dressed for the season and magical entertainment.

‘Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party’ is on at Magic Kingdom, with live entertainment, fireworks and a parade on select nights. The ‘Santa Claus Motorcade’ can be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as a Frozen-themed sing-along experience.

Highlights at Epcot include the Candlelight Processional and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Remix’. At Animal Kingdom, guests can see a festive flotilla and the ‘Merry Menagerie’ of arctic animals.
