Disney has released a new and improved teaser video for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an immersive two-night hotel experience that opens on March 1 at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

The teaser video offers a fresh look at the Halcyon starcruiser‘s cabins, training activities, restaurants and characters. The attraction’s cruise-style itinerary invites visitors become the hero of their own Star Wars adventure.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was developed by Walt Disney Imagineering at the same time as Galaxy’s Edge. Disney Imagineers created the Halcyon starcruiser alongside Lucasfilm.

“The very first place that the Halcyon ever travelled to was Batuu [the setting for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World and Disneyland],” said Disney Imagineer Travis Finstein.

“We’re going to follow that same journey that those passengers did centuries ago in honour of the anniversary of the ship,” said Matt Martin from Lucasfilm franchise content and strategy.

“The events of your stay at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser are set between the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

“As a passenger, you get to choose your own path and the parts of Star Wars that really call to you, that are special to you, you get to go live those,” Martin added.

“We’ll get to see some of the characters that we know and love from the films, including Rey and Kylo, who will actually meet up again for probably the first and maybe the only time between those two films.”

Visitors can choose whether they want to join the First Order or the Resistance during their stay on the Halcyon ship. Passengers will meet other humans, droids and alien species and can opt to become characters themselves.

“There could be a galactic superstar who entertains you on the first night but then also tasks you with helping to smuggle something,” said Sara Thacher, senior R&D Imagineer. “You never know what you’re going to wind up around every corner with.”
