The project is part of the resort’s commitment to reducing waste and supporting the local economy.

Disneyland Paris is selling a collection of unique products created using the recycled tarp that covered the Sleeping Beauty Castle for its 30th anniversary renovation project.

Limited edition tote bags, duffel bags, briefcases and pouches will be available from 9 September at the Storybook Store on Main Street U.S.A.

“We are particularly happy to launch this one-of-a-kind collection dedicated to Sleeping Beauty Castle, the icon of our destination, which will allow our fans to take home an authentic piece of magic,” said Jean-David Marque, merchandise and retail director at Disneyland Paris.

“Besides, this project is for us an opportunity to collaborate with a local French company that shares Disneyland Paris’ environmental and social values.”

Each of the 2,300 upcycled pieces in the collection were handmade and manufactured by Île-de-France-based company Bilum. Prices range from €30 to €140.

“We are building the brands’ legacy using their own materials,” said Hélène de La Moureyre, founder and director of Bilum.

The project is part of Disneyland Paris‘ ongoing commitment to reducing waste, protecting resources and supporting the local economy.

Earlier this year, Disneyland Paris announced Beyond Meat as its official plant-based meat partner across the whole resort.

Disneyland Paris has also created a replica of its iconic castle using 300kg of recycled glass as part of a waste recycling campaign. And, the resort recently started operating the first section of its solar canopy plant.

Last month, Disneyland Paris introduced audio description content across the resort, offering a more magical experience for visually impaired and blind guests.
