Drayton Manor Resort in Staffordshire, UK has announced the appointment of a new managing director, Victoria Lynn. She will lead the attraction’s development plans and expand its family-friendly offerings.

Lynn boasts more than 21 years’ experience in theme parks, hospitality and entertainment. She has held roles at UAE-based attractions including Wild Wadi Waterpark, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Drayton Manor team as managing director at a very exciting time for the resort, with plans to continue to grow and develop an already exceptional family destination over the coming years,” Lynn said.

“There is an incredibly talented team in place at the resort and I look forward to working closely with them in an environment where they continue to feel inspired and motivated to deliver the best possible experiences for guests.”

She will be the first woman to serve as a permanent managing director at Drayton Manor, which is home to more than 100 rides and attractions, as well as a 15-acre conservation zoo and hotel.

Victoria Lynn joins UK’s Drayton Manor

Drayton Manor was purchased by the Looping Group in August 2020. The company operates 16 leisure parks across the UK, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Portugal.

“Victoria’s vast experience working across a diverse portfolio of assets, world-class attractions and themed entertainment destinations made her the perfect fit for Drayton Manor Resort,” said Charles Bennet, chief operating officer of the Looping Group.

“With a focus on delivering strong business results and growth, alongside visionary leadership skills, we’re looking forward to working closely together to make the park an even more attractive leisure destination for families over the coming years.”

Lynn said she is “excited to have the opportunity to bring my experience and sector knowledge to the role as we look towards an exciting future for the destination”.

Elsewhere, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is holding a catering recruitment day on March 14 ahead of the 2022 season. There will be candy floss making demonstrations and hot dog sampling.
