Despite a temporary closure at the beginning of last year, Efteling welcomed a record number of visitors, partly due to the park's 70th anniversary celebrations.

As a result, Efteling also reported record financial results for last year. "2022 proved once again that Efteling matters," said Fons Jurgens, the park's CEO.
