The Giant Company Appoints Arup, Philips and Architainment To Create The Giant

The Giant Company Ltd. has announced the appointment of three specialist companies to facilitate the creation of its ground-breaking attraction, The Giant.

The world’s tallest moving statue is being developed in twenty cities across five continents.

Arup (Sydney Opera House, Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou) will supply integrated services related to the construction of The Giant. The world’s leading lighting company, Philips, and Architainment Lighting (Emirates Aviation Experience, London Eye, Radiohead) will create the proprietary 3D LED skin, mapping and control systems that will illuminate the ten-storey Giant sculpture.

The innovative attraction has been designed to transform hourly into a new image of a great man or woman from a diversity of fields, relevant to the statue’s particular location.

In between these dramatic presentations, scanned images of visitors will appear across the statue.

The Giant, which features a viewing tower and a one hour state-of-the-art exhibition, is among the decade’s most ambitious cultural and entertainment projects.

It has been conceived as a stand alone attraction and can also be integrated to increase footfall within a theme park or leisure development.
