Mark Woodbury has been appointed to abrand new role as Vice Chairman of Universal Parks & Resorts.
Woodbury (left) will stay with Universal Creative, the research and development group that designs rides and attractions, as President. He will also continue to report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Parks & Resorts, Tom Williams.
“Mark has been a driving force for creativity, innovation, growth and development across the entire Parks group,” said Williams in a news release.
In his 28 years with Universal, Woodbury and his team have been behind the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Osaka theme parks, as well as attractions like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Skull Island: Reign on Kong, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and Transformers: The Ride —3D.
The next project, Volcano Bay water park, is currently under construction, and is scheduled to open in May.
