disney play app

The Play Disney Parks app is adding new interactive experiences themed to Splash Mountain and Kidcot Fun Stops at Walt Disney World Resort.

These new Play Disney Parks app experiences, presented by Ziploc, are part of the Splash Mountain ride at Magic Kingdom and the Kidcot Fun Stop at World Showcase in Epcot.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Day turns wait time into play time

Guests can play together through a series of Splash Mountain-themed mini-games featuring some woodland friends from the attraction. After completing the challenges, guests are rewarded with special photo frames to help them capture their memories.

The new experience allows visitors to play while waiting in line for Splash Mountain. It can also be played anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort.

Interactive world tour with Disney Kidcot Puzzle Hunt

Guests will embark on an interactive world tour to find physical jigsaw puzzle pieces throughout the Kidcot Fun Stops in all 11 World Showcase pavilions.

After completing a pavilion’s puzzle hunt through the app, guests are rewarded with digital jigsaw puzzles and special photo frames themed to each pavilion to commemorate their journey around the world.

The Play Disney Parks app, available for iOS and Android, debuted at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort last year, giving guests access to games, music, achievements, Disney trivia and more, creating an even more immersive Disney parks experience.

There’s more to come for the app when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on May 31 at Disneyland and August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guiding visitors in a galaxy far, far away.

As technology becomes increasingly integral in creating unique and memorable visitor experiences, Blooloop has predicted six attraction tech trends as ones to watch in 2019.
