SeaWorld Orlando will reveal more information about the new roller coaster “over the coming months”.

SeaWorld Orlando has confirmed that it has started work on its seventh roller coaster, teasing the theme with the hashtag #HighSurfAdvisory. The new ride will open in 2023.

“This new 2023 attraction marks the 7th coaster at the park, which boasts more coasters in a single park than any other in Orlando,” SeaWorld said in a news release. “The ride’s theme has been teased with the hashtag #HighSurfAdvisory.”

“Guests are invited to get ready to feel the power of the pacific in Florida, letting the waves propel them into a one-of-a-kind ocean adventure,” SeaWorld Orlando added.

Opened in 1973, SeaWorld Orlando offers various rides and roller coasters, including its most recent addition, Ice Breaker, a multi-launch coaster featuring Florida’s steepest beyond-vertical drop.

SeaWorld Orlando teased the new attraction, which is reported to be a Bolliger & Mabillard ‘Surf Coaster’, earlier this year. SeaWorld shared an image on Twitter of two coaster tracks behind some palm trees.

SeaWorld Orlando is home to more coasters than any other single park in Orlando. Walt Disney World Resort has eight coasters, while Universal Orlando Resort features nine coasters.

SeaWorld Entertainment recently reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2022, revealing its theme parks hosted 3.4 million guests in Q1 – the highest first-quarter attendance for the company since 2013.

“We are pleased to report another quarter of record financial results,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of SeaWorld Entertainment.

SeaWorld Orlando will announce more information “over the coming months” ahead of the new coaster’s opening in 2023.
