Media-based attraction specialist Simworx celebrates new international orders

Simworx Mini Flying Theatre

Simworx is enjoying a healthier and more diverse order book than at any time in the dynamic media-based attractions specialist‘s history.

In the past year, the British company has signed orders worth €30 million ($40m/€33.5m). It also has a €46m strategic co-operation with a theme park developer in China. This will see Simworx supplying a total of 12 attractions to four new parks (three per park) between 2018 and 2021.

What managing director Terry Monkton describes as “an amazing ride” will open the following March in Mexico. Pirates of Baccalar will form part of the offering at the new Amikoo park on the Mayan Rivera. The custom-themed Immersive Tunnel installation will include 4k quality projection on specially extended screens. Water will form a barrier between the ride vehicle and screen, and an extra layer of immersion. As part of an extensive pre-show, the attraction will feature a walk-through labyrinth and cinema, extending the total experience time to around 40 minutes.

Dino Island Immersive Theatre for Parc Spirou

Also opening in March 2019, Simworx’ first Mini Flying Theatre is headed to a wildlife park in Vietnam. The attraction will feature 20 seats and rise to 8.7m when in flight. Simworx continues to market a larger 20m-tall Flying Theatre in partnership with Mondial. Also in Vietnam, a 150-seat 4D theatre will be delivered to the Vingroup (of Vinpearl Land fame).

As recently reported on Blooloop, Simworx has partnered with Interlink to deliver what is believed to the industry’s first media-based flume ride. The Immersive Superflume, featuring a dinosaur theme, will open in December 2019 in Indonesia. Is location will be a new shopping mall being developed by Trans Studio in Cibuber, outside Jakarta.

ADG dark ride for Parc Spirou

This coming summer (2018), Parc Spirou will open near Avignon, southern France, featuring three attractions form Simworx.

Immersive Adventure Simulator

These will be an AGV dark ride, Stargazer motion theatre and Immersive Tunnel. The latter will feature the ride film Dinosaur Island.

Meanwhile the company has a new “off the shelf” media-based attraction solution for venues with limited space.

The Immersive Adventure Simulator features a 5 x 4m footprint and is perfectly suited to FECs, museums etc.
