Ghibli Park has released a map of the new theme park, which reveals more about the first three lands to open – Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Dondoko Forest and Hill of Youth.

As previously announced, three of the park’s five themed lands open on 1 November 2022. These will be followed by Mononoke Village and Valley of Witches in fall 2023 and March 2024, respectively.

All five of Ghibli Park’s lands are pictured on the map, which can be found on the website. It includes additional information for Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Dondoko Forest and Hill of Youth.

Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse is “a large warehouse full of Ghibli secrets”, home to “exhibitions of works, rooms where children can play, video exhibition rooms, cafes and shops”.

At Dondoko Forest, visitors will “enter the world of My Neighbor Totoro at Satsuki and Mei’s house”. Hill of Youth is “overlooking the park from the top of the hill”.

In addition, Studio Ghibli is opening a Ghibli Park exhibition at the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum on 16 July ahead of the theme park’s opening later this year.

The exhibition will preview the $323 million attraction. It will then travel to four more venues across Japan, in Aichi, Kumamoto, Hyogo and Yamaguchi.

Ghibli Park recently revealed the ticket prices for its first three lands. It also shared a first look at the redesigned Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro, which will be located within a playground at Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse.

Ghibli Park’s My Neighbor Totoro-themed playground will include a replica of Satsuki and Mei’s house, as well as a giant camphor tree.

The park’s Castle in the Sky-style elevator tower opened earlier this year. Ghibli Park is located in the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park.
