ADG (Aquatic Development Group, Inc.), leading expert in water and mountainside attractions, has launched a first-of-its-kind, dual-launch boogie boarding surf pool at Water World Waterpark in the Hyland Hills district of Colorado.
Breaker BeachTM Water Ride, branded ‘Cowabunga Beach’, delivers perfect waves every four seconds and can potentially serve an estimated 800-900 riders per hour.
“Having a boogie board beach in a land-locked state has brought a unique experience to our guests and they are loving it!” said Joanne Cortez, Communications Director at Water World.
Occupying 13, 300sqft, Cowabunga Beach features ADG’s exclusive WaveTek™ technology allowing guest of all ages and abilities to ride perfect, boogie board size waves as they dispatch from a specially designed launch peninsula.
Breaker Beach ride is one of five new rides in the company’s Premier Water Rides Series. The company says it appealed to Water World because of its potential to handle large numbers of guests and the fact that it can be easily customised.
At the same venue, ADG has also created Turtle Bay, a zero-entry, 2, 500sqft kiddie wave pool. The heavily themed attraction holds 13, 000 gallons of water and includes interactive play features and bench seating for adults.
“This project is a resounding success due to ADG’s staff of professionals, dedication to our timeline and of course the amazing result of Colorado’s new Cowabunga Beach. We couldn’t be more pleased, ” added Cortez.
