American Wave Machines have announced plans to provide a PerfectSwell® surf pool for a unique new surf resort in Hawaii.
Bruce McFarland, Founder and President of American Wave Machines, explains that "our overriding design philosophy was to create surf, the dynamics of the ocean at the beach, not just individual waves. We've accomplished that with PerfectSwell®. The iconic concept put forth by Surf City HUI aligns with our vision for premium surf destinations."
The Endless Summer Resort, announced by The Greene Waters Group of Bridge Real Estate, will be centered around a four-acre PerfectSwell® surf pool. The resort will also include 400 units and a surf museum. The developers have partnered with Bruce Brown Films in order to theme the resort after one the most iconic of all surfing films.
American Wave Machines have provided the technology that creates infinite variety of customizable waves which will underpin the resort’s surfing experience.
Surf City Hui, LLC co-founder Chad Waters said, "American Wave Machines has advanced technology to a point where they make consistent waves with an infinite variety. At The Endless Summer Resort, we will be able to create a surfing experience that removes the fear for beginners and in some cases, exceeds the real thing for expert surfers."
Surf City Hui are currently seeking potential operators and contractors, with the resort opening currently set for summer 2017. The developer has produced a short information video together with a survey for public input on the project which can be viewed here.
