World leader in aquatic play solutions, Vortex Aquatic Structures International, has been named in Canada’s definitive list of the country’s fastest-growing companies.
The 27th annual PROFIT 500, published in best-selling Canadian Business magazine, ranks small and mid-sized businesses by their five-year revenue growth. Vortex earned its place for achieving 84% revenue growth.
James Cowan, Editor-in-chief of PROFIT and Canadian Business, said the list represented the highest tier of entrepreneurialism in Canada: “They should be lauded for the positive economic contributions they’ve made to their communities—and the entire country. They are examples of what can be accomplished with innovation, discipline and determination.”
The company has already scooped two major awards this year: a GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Award for its Water Journey aquatic play solution and a 2015 MVP Award from Aquatics International Magazine for its innovative Watermark product.
The company’s president and CEO, Stephen Hamelin was also a Finalist for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
“This has been a great year for Vortex, and the PROFIT 500 is an important feather in our cap because it is based on performance and strong execution from our dedicated employees over the past five years, ” commented Hamelin.
