Gardaland Resort in Italy has opened Europe’s first Legoland Water Park, home to waterslides, rafts, swimming pools, and Duplo and Lego attractions.

Europe’s first Legoland Water Park has finally opened at Gardaland Resort. The attraction is home to millions of Lego bricks, as well as interactive water games, colourful slides and themed areas.

Legoland Water Park in Italy features various attractions and zones. These include Jungle Oasis, Lego River Adventure and Miniland – home to around 100 iconic monuments made from Lego bricks, including the Milan Cathedral and Rome’s Colosseum.

Beach Party boasts play areas, colourful slides, water cannons and a giant bucket, while Lego Creation Island is dedicated to play.

Duplo Splash is designed for kids experiencing their first waterslides, Jungle Adventures comes with family-friendly waterslides, and Pirate Bay has a large swimming pool.

Gardaland launches fifth Legoland Water Park

“After months of closure, we were very happy to see our guests in the streets of the park and on board the attractions,” said Aldo Maria Vigevani, managing director of Gardaland.

“Legoland Water Park Gardaland is the first Lego-themed water park in Europe and fifth in the world; until now people had to go to Malaysia or the United States to find something similar.

“Now just come to Gardaland to immerse yourself in this colourful world of water, where you can have fun on the slides and free your imagination by building with Lego bricks!”

The Legoland destination boasts nearly 1,400 cubic metres of water in the swimming pools, while 1,500 litres of water is poured from the bucket at the top of the Beach Party tower.

4,900,000 Lego bricks used for Miniland

In addition, the total length of the Jungle Adventure slides is 344 metres, and Gardaland Resort used 4,900,000 Lego bricks to create the monuments at Miniland.

Legoland Water Park also includes a Legoland shop and a themed F&B at the Harbour Restaurant, Beach Party Kiosk and Adventurers’ Snacks.

Gardaland’s new offering is the fifth Legoland Water Park and follows similar attractions in California, Florida, Malaysia and Dubai.

Elsewhere, Legoland New York has opened in Goshen, Orange County. Legoland Billund in Denmark has launched the Lego Movie World expansion.
