Water park at Perfect Day Mexico will feature the tallest waterslide tower in North and South America

Legacy Entertainment, a leading theme park and resort design company, has announced that it is partnering with Royal Caribbean to create Loco Waterpark at Perfect Day Mexico.

Loco Waterpark will be a highlight of the 200-acre destination, which is expected to welcome its first guests in autumn 2027. Situated on Mexico’s Caribbean Coast, Perfect Day Mexico will include seven unique areas, with 12 dining venues, 24 bars, and the world’s longest lazy river.

Taylor Jeffs, Legacy Entertainment’s president and chief creative officer, says: “‘Perfect’ is the right word to describe this collaboration.

“The creative opportunity of blending Royal Caribbean’s design, signature service and experiences while amplifying Mexico’s vibrant culture has been a career highlight for us here at Legacy.”

Beyond traditional breaks

Legacy Entertainment will create a unique thematic style for the water park, which will feature over 30 waterslides, a wave pool, and the tallest waterslide tower in North and South America, named ‘Jaguar’s Peak’.

“More than ever before, families are seeking experiences they can enjoy together that deliver something for everyone, and go beyond what a typical theme park getaway can offer,” says Jeffs.

“My team and I are excited to enter this arena at the moment where the gap between these two worlds increasingly shrinks. Perfect Day Mexico won’t only meet what visitors could do in Orlando, for example, but it will exceed it in many regards. And we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible.”

Legacy Entertainment was recently engaged by Taman Safari, an owner and operator of nine major parks and four safari resorts in Indonesia, to master plan and design its next generation of experiences and attractions, with a focus on the chain’s original park, Taman Safari Bogor, which opened in 1986.

Last year, Legacy Entertainment and its subsidiary, The Aquarium Design Company, revealed the design for the much-anticipated Beijing Haichang Ocean Park
