Magic Memories Launches Fully Integrated Guest ID Experience Photography Solution at Wet’n’Wild Sydney

News

Magic Memories, specialists in offering unique photographic memories of tourism experiences, has announced that its most technologically advanced photography solution to date, the fully integrated Guest ID experience, has been debuted at Wet’n’Wild Sydney.

Magic Memories was approached by Village Roadshow Theme Parks (VRTP) to create the most technically advanced photo system in the world for Wet’n’Wild Sydney.

The result is a fully integrated Guest ID solution.  Magic Memories have combined state of the art Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and online services with traditional ride photography and roaming photographers, to create an unparalleled end-to-end solution.   The system allows guests to access their photos through online accounts all season.

Magic Memories CEO for the Asia Pacific region, Steve Taitoko, explains, “This is a significant technological achievement given our challenge was to not only capture guest images utilising only RFID, but also work this in with VRTP’s ticketing and point of sale systems. All this, whilst building an automated web interface to deliver guest photos to a personalised account on VRTP’s website.

“The ability to both develop cutting-edge technology and utilise the strength of our staff to provide a completely outsourced solution is why we remain at the cutting-edge of our industry. We do the heavy lifting for our clients so they can concentrate on their core business.”

VRTP has been so pleased with the first season performance of the system that they have included it in next season’s VIP season pass.  Taitoko says that this decision “is acknowledgement of how valuable photos are to guests. It also validated the power of our system’s ability to integrate into the guest experience.”

Commenting on Magic Memories’ solution, Wet’n’Wild Sydney’s Project Director responsible for the park’s design and build, Chris Warhust, said, “We wanted to develop the most advanced water park in the world. Our brief to Magic Memories was simple – build us a solution that takes the guest experience to the next level. They achieved this on day one and continue to innovate with us to make the system even more extensive in its reach and functionality to guests.”
