Experts in waterslide and waterpark design and manufacture, Polin Waterparks has supplied the waterslides for the brand new Aquafan Waterpark in Buenos Aires.
The region’s first waterpark is part of a $6.76 million enhancement of the city’s Parque de la Costa designed to turn the theme park into a major entertainment hub. The new 3.5 acre attraction includes a VIP area, a video game centre, six concession areas, a wave pool, six waterslides and a children's waterplay structure.
The slides, featuring Polin’s exclusive resin transfer molding (RTM) composites technology, include The Freefall, described by Polin as “the thrill of a freefall without the danger” and The Black Hole, one of their most popular rides: “a swirling adventure of fast-changing colours and high-speed travel through multiple turns and inclines.”
The children’s paradise-themed waterplay structure includes a frog slide, a dolphin fountain and an octopus waterslide as well as tipping buckets and spray guns.
Luciano Savasta, Parque de la Costa's Director of Development and Technology, says the new attraction will extend the park's appeal whatever the weather.
"In cooler temperatures, the theme park will be the main attraction, while hot weather will send people flocking to the waterpark, " he comments. "Either way, we've ensured that our customers have plenty of entertaining offerings to keep them having fun all season long."
