Polin’s Waterslides Provide Thrills at Russia’s New Aquario Waterpark

News

Polin Waterparks, leaders in the design, manufacture and installation of waterslides, waterparks and waterplay attractions, has installed seven high-speed waterslides at the biggest indoor waterpark in the Urals.

The 8, 000 sq metre Aquario Indoor Waterpark in Omsk features several of Polin’s latest rides including uphill thrill-ride, the Wave Slide and the Space Hole, one of the largest speed-riding slides on the market. All have been manufactured using the company’s resin transfer moulding (RTM) technology which they claim makes them stronger, lighter and easier to install than comparable models.

Guests started queuing early on the park's opening day, keen to be the first to enjoy the new attraction.

Selim Doguoglu, the General Manager of Polin's Russian office, said he knew immediately that the park would prove popular with both the city's residents and visitors: "Indoor waterparks like Aquario provide an opportunity for people to have fun together no matter what the weather conditions.”

Doguoglu oversaw the project in an area of the country where winter temperatures regularly plummet to minus 17 degrees Celsius.

“The weather is always perfect inside Aquario, " he says. "That means that guests find value at Aquario year-round, rain or shine, cold weather or in the heat of the sun.”

As well as the waterslides, the park also features one of Polin's jungle-themed waterplay structures for younger children.

"Aquario is a facility that offers entertainment for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest and for anyone no matter what their thrill-factor level, " explains Doguoglu.
