Therme Group has announced plans to develop a new wellbeing resort in South Korea, located in the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ).
The company is working alongside Yoo Jeong-bok, Incheon mayor, and IFEZ commissioner Kim Jin-yong. Per a news release, the wellbeing resort will welcome at least one million people every year.
“Therme Groupās wellbeing resort will not only attract tourists to Incheon and help to drive the regionās economy, but it will also boost health and wellbeing in the population as Incheon continues to grow as a leading global city,” said Kim.
The new $200 million destination will offer saunas, hot pools, wellness experiences and F&B. It will be inspired by Korean traditions and culture.

“Our close partnership with Incheon and IFEZ will enable us to continue our global development programme, bringing the world’s most advanced wellbeing concept to iconic locations in cities worldwide,” said Therme Group’s senior VP and COO, Stelian Iacob.
Therme’s destinations are immersive environments, home to thermal bathing experiences, water-based activities, wellbeing therapies, and art and culture.
Therme Group currently operates four venues in Europe ā Badeparadies Schwarzwald, Thermen & Badewelt Sinsheim, and Thermen & Badewelt Euskirchen in Germany, and Therme Bucharest in Romania.
It has multiple destinations in development across the globe, including Glasgow, Manchester, New York City, TorontoĀ andĀ Frankfurt.
Therme’s global expansion
Plans to start work on the Ā£250mĀ Therme ManchesterĀ project are making progress. The attraction will have anĀ all-season urban beach and the world’s first ‘living waterslides’.
It will also include immersive digital art, an urban farm and botanical gardens, as well as 35 water slides, 25 pools, and 30 saunas and steam rooms.
