Top Live Entertainment Professionals join Cartoon Network Amazone Team in Thailand


The world’s first Cartoon Network themed waterpark has announced the appointment of Chris Colby as Head of Creative Production and David Kort  as Head of Live chris colby cartoon network amazoneEntertainment.  

Chris and David bring with them decades of experience in live entertainment and form a tremendous addition to the billion-baht attraction’s talented executive team. 

Set to open in Bang Saray, Thailand, in the first half of 2014 and destined to be Asia’s leading themed waterpark, Cartoon Network Amazone is located on 35 rai (14 acres) of lush coastal land on Thailand’s burgeoning Eastern Seaboard. 

Aimed at the entire family, the new waterpark will showcase10 themed and immersive entertainment zones featuring Cartoon Network characters such as Ben 10 and his popular alien alter-egos, Jake and Finn from Adventure Time and Gumball and Darwin from The Amazing World of Gumball.

Chris (top right) is a renowned director, producer and performer of stage and screen with huge experience in creating sensational shows and thrilling audiences around the world. Recently he has worked exclusively in leisure and tourism,  directing productions in the cruise industry and before this created hugely popular shows in London’s West End and at the Edinburgh Festival. 

Whilst today David (above right) is an internationally renowned choreographer, he began his career as a dancer, working at the prestigious Glyndebourne Festival Opera in London’s West End.  He was also resident choreographer at the Theatre Royal Lincoln, instructor at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, and Founding Principal of the Theatre Royal School of Performing Arts
