Wet’n’Wild Sydney opened to the public in December 2013. The $135 million waterpark features more than 40 slides and attractions on a 25 hectare site and is expected to attract more than 1 million visitors a year.
Wet’n’Wild General Manager, Chris Warhurst, says that the “iconic waterslides continually draw rave reviews and enhance the overall guest experience. These two complexes are a highlight of the park.”
The first of WhiteWater’s two waterslide complexes includes the world-first Whizzard Twist™ (H2Go Racers), which takes eight mat racer AquaTubes and winds them around each other. In addition there are four dueling AquaLoops™ (360Rush).
The second eight waterslide complex features four MasterBlasters®, called “The Breakers” and Australia’s first Rattler™, named “The Typhoon”.
Michael Ayotte, Project Manager of the Wet’n’Wild project, said, “Working with Village Road Show’s general manager Chris Warhurst and his team was an absolute pleasure. The expectations were high and the challenges along the way were met with enthusiasm. I feel a great sense of accomplishment having delivered this project on time and on budget and I look forward to working with this client again.”
