Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi has been named ‘Best Water Park’ by the Middle East and North Africa Leisure and Attraction Council (MENALAC).
Located close to a range of leisure options on Yas Island, the water park competes by providing a wide range of world-class rides, slides and attractions as well as great customer service. Yas Waterworld was also awarded ‘The Best Employees’ Engagement Initiative’ for its ‘Pearls of Service’ programme.
Bianca Sammut, general manager of Yas Waterworld, said: “These awards reinforce the sense of pride and achievement that is shared by all of us at Yas Waterworld. We are truly humbled by the recognition and would like to thank MENALAC for all of their efforts in promoting the continued development of the entertainment and leisure industry.
“Each year, we look to introduce new and exciting activities that offer our guests memorable experiences. All that we do at Yas Waterworld is made possible by a hardworking team of devoted employees, and it is their passion that has brought us this moment.”
Yas Waterworld just celebrated its fifth anniversary after opening in 2013. It is home to more than 40 rides, slides and attractions including Dawwama, Liwa Loop and Slithers Slides.
The park also has Bubbles Barrel, the world’s largest surf-able sheet wave at 3m high as well as the Middle East’s longest suspended roller coaster, Bandit Bomber.
MENALAC was founded in 2016 to promote safe operations, regional development, professional growth and commercial success in the amusement industry. At the awards ceremony, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was named ‘Best Theme Park’.
