Katapult, the international guest experience design agency, has worked with The LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments to create a new experience at 11 LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, the DOTS Festival. This has been designed to celebrate LEGO DOTS and encapsulates the crafty and expressive nature of the popular product.

Working in partnership with LEGO and Merlin, Katapult designed and produced an engaging experience that includes a DOTS cart, campervan, spinning festival letters, decor and activities.

The event is now live for visitors to enjoy across North America, Europe and Asia, with guests at the 11 Discovery Centers being able to get involved in workshops, hands-on play and creativity.

Speaking on the activation, The LEGO Group’s Martin Weber Thomsen, says, “Katapult has done a great job developing and delivering this new exciting LEGO DOTS Festival experience, which will allow families and most importantly kids the creative freedom to highlight their own self-expression at LEGOLAND Discovery Centers”

Dawn Foote, CEO and Co-Founder of Katapult, adds “We were delighted to work alongside The LEGO Group & Merlin Entertainments to deliver this new DOTS experience. Our team has worked incredibly hard to design and deliver an activation that embodied the DOTS play experience – we have loved hearing the feedback from guests and from the LEGO Discovery Centre sites.”

This isn’t the first time that Katapult has worked with the iconic LEGO brand. Last month, the company also revealed that it has created a new PLANET LEGOLAND experience for eight LEGOLAND parks around the world, again in partnership with The LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments.

Now, guests at the LEGOLAND parks in Windsor, Billund, Deutschland, California, Florida, Malaysia, Japan and New York can enjoy a brand new immersive experience, where they can build, unbuild and rebuild their ultimate theme park. PLANET LEGOLAND is part of The LEGO Group’s Rebuild the World campaign.
