Ripley’s attractions are “available for a new engagement” in the MENA region

Ripley Entertainment, also known as Ripley’s, is looking for a new partner in the MENA region following a five-season run at Global Village Dubai.

Per a press release, Ripley’s attractions are “available for a new engagement” in the Middle East and North Africa from May as the partnership between Ripley Entertainment and Dubai Holdings Entertainment expires at the end of Global Village’s 2024 season in April.

Since 2019, Ripley’s has showcased several of its offerings at Global Village. These include its Ripley’s Believe It or Not! galleries, home to rare artefacts, wax figures, animal oddities, pop culture memorabilia and interactive experiences.

More Ripley’s attractions available at Global Village include an immersive mirror maze, a 4D cinema with motion seats and sensory effects, and the Power Up gaming experience.

“We are thankful for the wonderful experience we’ve had with Global Village. It has been a real joy watching guests from across the MENA region explore the attractions and visit again season after season,” said Jim Pattison Jr., president of Ripley Entertainment.

“As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite potential partners who share our passion for unique and extraordinary entertainment to join us.”

Speaking to blooloop in a recent interview, Pattison Jr. said: “I can’t think of anywhere that we’ve been that people haven’t appreciated our product.

“We must be culturally sensitive, of course. Wherever we’re going, we need to ensure that we understand things like religion, politics and history.

“But everywhere we’ve been people are fascinated with some of the stuff we do. I’m fascinated with it; we see incredible stuff coming in every day.”

Ripley Entertainment has grown from a small daily newspaper cartoon drawn by Robert Ripley, which first appeared in 1918, to a global entertainment business. The company now operates more than 100 attractions across the world.
