Immotion, a global leader in immersive edutainment, has been included in Fast Company’s 2026 Most Innovative Companies list, ranking in the Top 5 of the augmented & virtual reality category.
This recognition highlights Immotion’s goal of blending technology and storytelling in new ways to enhance audience engagement with science, nature, and discovery.
With more than 155 installations in 22 countries, Immotion has created the largest global network of cinematic, location-based virtual reality experiences.
Its platform integrates cutting-edge technology with award-winning storytelling, allowing audiences to explore environments, perspectives, and moments that are otherwise hard or impossible to experience firsthand, thereby boosting understanding and emotional engagement.
Collaborating with museums, science centres, aquariums, and zoos, Immotion’s experiences are designed to complement and expand the powerful real-world environments that these institutions offer.

Building engagement and understanding
“We’re incredibly proud to be selected by Fast Company,” says Rod Findley, CEO of Immotion. “It reinforces our belief that immersive technology can and should play a meaningful role in educating the public about nature, science, and sparking a sense of wonder and discovery.

"We believe we’re only scratching the surface of how immersive experiences can transform the way people learn and connect with the world around them.”

Immotion’s content is created in partnership with scientists, marine biologists, and research and conservation organisations such as the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, ensuring each experience is grounded in real-world expertise.
From exploring coral reef ecosystems in Dolphins of the Reef to venturing through prehistoric worlds in Dinosaur: Evolution, the company’s work aims to support institutional missions by helping visitors engage in deeper and more meaningful ways that leave a lasting impact long after the visit ends.
Last month, Immotion presented its latest film experience, Polar Odyssey, which invites audiences to journey into one of the planet's harshest and most spectacular environments.
Findley was also named to the blooloop 50 Immersive Influencers list, recognising his efforts to advance immersive VR experiences in the attractions sector.
