BrushBoarding

BrushBoarding is an active entertainment concept that brings the experience of surfing to attractions, leisure venues and events without the need for water or waves. Using patented ramp technology, the company offers a board-riding activity that combines physical challenge, entertainment and social interaction.

Designed for both beginners and experienced board sports enthusiasts, BrushBoarding provides an alternative to conventional sports simulators and attractions. Its waterless approach allows operators to introduce a surfing-inspired experience in locations where traditional wave-based installations may not be practical, including family entertainment centres (FECs), shopping destinations, sports facilities and event spaces.

At the centre of the experience is BrushBoarding's specially designed ramp, which allows participants to practise balancing and controlling a board on a moving surface.

The activity encourages riders to develop balance, coordination and core strength while providing an accessible introduction to board sports. Participants do not need previous surfing experience, making the attraction suitable for a broad range of abilities.

A standard installation requires approximately 20 by 20 feet of space, although the company can manufacture equipment to accommodate different venue requirements. The technology also uses relatively little power and eliminates the need for the substantial water infrastructure associated with traditional surfing attractions.

Attractions and family entertainment

BrushBoarding can be incorporated into a variety of leisure and entertainment environments, either as a standalone attraction or as part of a wider activity offering.

For operators, the format offers flexibility in how the experience is delivered. Visitors can participate in short individual sessions, while longer bookings can accommodate groups, parties and organised activities.

Riding sessions are physically engaging, with many participants taking a break after approximately 90 seconds. This creates opportunities for rotating groups of guests, encouraging spectators to become involved and adding a competitive element to the experience.

The company provides a turnkey service covering equipment design, installation, staff training and ongoing operational support. Its approach is intended to help venues integrate the activity into their existing operations while developing additional revenue opportunities.

Brand activations and events

Alongside permanent installations, BrushBoarding offers experiential marketing opportunities for brands, event organisers and commercial partners.

The company's portable surfing-inspired experiences can be used at sporting events, festivals, promotional campaigns and other public gatherings, creating interactive activities that encourage audience participation.

BrushBoarding reports delivering more than 100 activations across five countries, demonstrating how the concept can be adapted for different audiences and event environments.

The activity also lends itself to social media content, with participants able to share their attempts, progress and achievements. For brands, this creates opportunities to extend engagement beyond the physical event.

Installations and operator experiences

BrushBoarding's installations include Adrenalin Rush in the United States, which introduced the attraction in July 2024. According to a case study published by the company, the venue recorded a 9.6% increase in revenue following its installation.

The company has also highlighted rider experiences at RecPlex, illustrating the appeal of the activity to first-time participants.

With its combination of compact equipment, physical activity and flexible operating formats, BrushBoarding offers attractions operators another way to introduce participatory entertainment to their venues.

The company is scheduled to exhibit at IAAPA Expo 2026 in Orlando, Florida, at booth W1058, where visitors can learn more about the technology and its potential applications.
