International Zoo Educators (IZE), a network that supports educators with training, resources, and a global community, has launched a new online registration option for the IZE 2026 conference, which will take place from 12 to 16 October at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, South Africa.
Recognising that not everyone who would like to attend can do so in person, the network has made online registration available to both members and non-members. This will enable participants to join the global conservation education conference from anywhere in the world.
A spokesperson says: "At IZE, we're committed to being an inclusive global membership organisation, and we've worked hard to create an online option that enables more educators and conservation engagement professionals worldwide to be part of the conversation."
The 2026 event will explore the theme One Planet, Many Voices: Educating for Biodiversity and Connection.
Online registration offers full access to the IZE Conference Whova App, including live-streamed conference presentations and on-demand recordings after the event. Additionally, this provides attendees' teams with access to the conference content for learning.
Please note that the new online format does not include workshops, which will remain exclusive to in-person attendees.
Introductory rate
IZE is currently offering a special introductory rate for online registration.
With this, members can register for online attendance for USD 150, and non-IZE members for USD 180.
The introductory rate is available until 20 September 11.59 pm SAST (South Africa Standard Time). Full payment must be received no later than 25 September.
From 21 September, online registration will be charged at USD 200 USD for both IZE members and non-members. Online registrations are available until 5 October 11.59 pm SAST (South Africa Standard Time).
