LCI Productions, a leading multimedia show design and production company, has signed a three-year contract to produce Port Lympne Safari Park’s annual light trail, Port Lympne Illuminated. Building on last year’s successful debut, LCI will return to create a more developed, larger-scale trail experience.
In 2025, LCI turned the park’s 600-acre landscape into a memorable nighttime display, attracting nearly 70,000 visitors from 28 November 2025 to 3 January 2026.
This year, the trail will feature new themed zones and installations, along with original IP created specifically for this experience. Visitors will enter a magical winter realm, where hologram fairies and festive elves will guide them through a vibrant, immersive landscape.
Along the trail, original IP merges with LED displays, storytelling, interactive setups, lighting, water effects, and holograms to craft a smooth integration of physical and digital experiences.
Building on a successful partnership
New zones feature enchanted hidden animal kingdoms with life-sized 3D animals created through holographic technology and atmospheric lighting. There is also a rainbow LED tunnel and immersive Elf Forest installations.
Visitors will see holographic elves, glowing animal sculptures, and dynamic beacon pathways that guide movement throughout the area.
A canopy of over 500 lanterns will light up the tree cover, forming an illuminated pathway through the park. The experience also includes a laser disco in the Orangery, equipped with holofan technology and original content centred around characters.
It ends with a water show with dancing fountains, moving lighting, a new music track, and flame jets.
The trail is further enriched with carefully placed food and beverage outlets, illuminated tunnels, and themed signs, crafting an immersive environment for a memorable seasonal experience.

Conservation remains central to Port Lympne’s mission, with animal welfare as a top priority. LCI will maintain close collaboration with Port Lympne’s animal handlers to ensure that all installations, lighting effects, and audio elements are implemented with minimal disruption.
Tony Kelly, managing director at Port Lympne, says: “After the success of last year, it made sense to work with LCI again and continue building on our fantastic partnership. We wanted to create a seasonal family experience that guests would want to return to year after year, and we think we’ve achieved just that.
"This year’s trail is even bigger and more immersive, with a longer route, more interactive elements and increased opportunities for guests to engage and take part in the experience. We’re delighted with how it has evolved and look forward to welcoming visitors back to the safari park once again.”
Rob Paul, design director at LCI Productions, adds: “Delivering a trail of this scale in an active safari environment brings unique logistical challenges, from working sensitively around the animals to operating across such varied terrain.
"The Port Lympne team have been exceptional partners throughout, and we’re really looking forward to working with them again to deliver this magical experience. Their knowledge of the site, commitment to animal welfare and collaborative spirit have been invaluable in bringing this project to life.
"Together, we have created something truly special. We can’t wait for the public to see it.”
Earlier this month, LCI Productions announced a new contract with Bangladesh-based developer UCC Infratech. This will see the company deliver a series of immersive dark-ride theatre attractions as part of Bangladesh's growing investment in tourism, leisure, and educational entertainment infrastructure.
