NBCUniversal International Studios and Imagine Exhibitions have announced that the much-loved Downton Abbey is to be reborn as a fully immersive touring exhibition.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Downton Abbey: The Exhibition will launch on June 17 in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.
The exhibition is then scheduled to make its way across the US in what one hopes will be a suitably stately fashion.
The intention is to ‘connect visitors with their favourite characters, costumes and locations as well as showcase never-before-seen footage and historic moments’.
Michael Edelstein, President of NBCUniversal International Studios, said that although the show has ended, fans of the Crawleys continue to ask for more.
He went on to describe the exhibition as a ‘multi-million dollar museum-quality experience.’
Visitors will be able to walk through some of the show’s most well-known locations and get an up-close look at the costumes worn on set. The exhibition will also reportedly offer an insight into British society, culture and fashion from the WWI and into the 1920s.
