Solomon Group, an award-winning leader in exhibit fabrication, AV systems integration and live event production, is continuing to achieve its DEI goals in the areas of supplier diversity participation as the company continues to renew its National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) certification.
The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce is the largest advocacy organisation dedicated to expanding economic opportunities and advancements for the LGBTQ community. It is also the exclusive certifying body for LGBTQ-owned businesses.
More than a third of all Fortune 500 companies recognize this certification and partner with the organisation to create fully LGBTQ-inclusive supply chains. They work to include these certified LGBTBE businesses in procurement opportunities at the federal, state and local levels. As a result, this has increased the number and quality of opportunities available to the LGBT enterprise community.
A commitment to inclusivity
Gary Solomon, CEO and co-founder of Solomon Group, is committed to ensuring the firm is inclusive. The company says it is proud of the melting pot of cultures and backgrounds both within Solomon Group and the firms it partners with.
Other companies in the attractions industry that have NGLCC certifications include B Morrow Productions (Creative/Production) and Quantum Creative Studios (Creative/Media). At the moment, Solomon Group is the only museum exhibit fabricator in the country that holds an NGLCC Certification.
Solomon Group delivers high-quality, immersive and interactive visitor experiences for museums, themed attractions, multi-media installations and projects of all shapes and sizes. It recently expanded its facilities with a new fabrication facility in Orlando, which will help Solomon Group to expand into other verticals, such as theme parks and other immersive environments.
Earlier this summer, Solomon Group also appointed two world-class professionals to its team of creators, technologists and strategic leaders. Dana Worthington joined the expanding sales team bringing almost three decades of experience with amusement parks, zoos and resorts, while Todd Beam stepped into the role of vice president of experience technology/AV integration, bringing over two decades of experience in AV and project management.
