The Strong National Museum of Play Plans Video Game Hall of Fame

News

The Strong National Museum of Play, Rochester NY, has revealed plans for its redevelopment project.

The Strong envisions a multi-faceted entertainment destination featuring, principally, the World Video Game Hall of Fame.

The proposal includes a new museum wing with a walk-through video game that combines physical activity and problem-solving.

Also included are an indoor Ferris Wheel, a parking garage for 1, 200 vehicles and a hotel with around 120 rooms with a spa, pool and water feature.

The museum’s Senior Director of Public Relations, Shane Rhinewald, said, “The Strong envisions a multi-faceted entertainment destination featuring, principally, the World Video Game Hall of Fame. The new attraction will offer immersive experiences that are unique in the nation, or anywhere, and that will appeal to a wide range of ages.”
