Game Volt completes installation of its 75th Supercharged Shuffleboard

Game Volt Supercharged Shuffle 2024

Game Volt, the product division of CONDUCTR, the UK-based innovation studio, recently completed the installation of its 75th Supercharged Shuffleboard, solidifying its position as the largest tech-powered shuffleboard provider globally.

This achievement reflects the growing appeal of competitive socialising spots and the popularity of Game Volt‘s creative reinvention of classic games, combining traditional gameplay with state-of-the-art technology to create immersive, competitive experiences.

Supercharged Shuffleboard

Over 3 million pucks have been thrown across Supercharged Shuffle installations worldwide, demonstrating how popular this exciting fusion of tradition and technology has become.

Supercharged Shuffleboard has brought new life to the classic game of shuffleboard by incorporating features like automated scoring, various game modes, and frequent content upgrades. It has been included in a major rollout in the US with amusement chain Dave & Buster’s as part of its redesigned “future of play” destinations. Its “eatertainment” concept revolves around competitive socialising, and Supercharged Shuffles have already been installed in 17 Dave & Buster’s sites across the US, with 12 more scheduled for installation this year.

Matt Daly, partnerships manager at Game Volt, says: “Socialisation has been gamified! The rise of competitive socialising has transformed how people interact and spend their leisure time. Our Supercharged Shuffleboard has accelerated this trend by providing an experience that is not only fun and engaging but also delivers significant value to operators.

“This lucrative business model differentiates venues in a competitive market and significantly boosts revenue streams. We’ve seen one of our UK clients generate a £30,000 increase in just one month with three Supercharged Shuffleboard tables, demonstrating the substantial ROI potential and power.”

Competitive socialising

Game Volt’s solutions are easy to install and operate, allowing venues to incorporate these high-yielding experiences with minimal disruption. Due to its modest size—roughly half that of a conventional shuffleboard table—the Supercharged Shuffle is more appealing to a wider variety of settings and can be used in smaller spaces.

Game Volt’s ARENA has been recognised in the AV Awards, demonstrating the company’s continued leadership in tech-enabled gaming and competitive socialising. The ARENA, which is being implemented at Dave & Buster’s and is redesigning entertainment to be more interactive and engaging, has been shortlisted in the Leisure and Hospitality Project of the Year category.

Last month, CONDUCTR announced the appointment of a new board with a focus on play. This new approach is set to drive the firm’s R&D strategy and significant changes to its processes, providing accurate market research across key demographics. The new board, which is made up of members ages 4 to 9, aims to transform meetings into little adventures, strategies into sandpit sessions, and proposals into play.
