Technology firm will highlight new wristbands readers and enhanced app at IAAPA Expo 2021

Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has announced it will be at IAAPA Expo for its ninth consecutive year.

The technology company will be showcasing an exclusive display of amusement park and family entertainment centre (FEC) solutions, such as kiosks, tablets, locks, POS and cashless systems.

The Parafait system allows attraction operators to automate processes, giving a wider control over operations, and delivering improved guest experiences by utilising the different functions of the platform.

Semnox will also be presenting a fresh range of new products and services at the upcoming Orlando event. Shown for the first time at IAAPA Expo is the radian time-keeping wristband, an RFID-enabled device benefiting from glow-with-vibrate notifications and an automated, accurate timer. Semnox’s leading innovation, the wristband has been designed for attractions that utilise check-in/out facilities or timed gameplays, saving on staffing costs.

The LuminOS reader is a Linux-based screen device featuring the ability to play videos and pull over digital content from a server. The LuminOS has additional functionalities like Multi-Gameplay and Repeat Play, allowing guests to play again without having to re-tap their cards. Players can choose to simply place the card in the slot and keep gaming with the reader prompting for balance deduction if the card is in the slot.

New app features

Semnox’s “Smart Fun” app is designed to cut down queues and waiting times for park and FEC customers and has been newly enhanced. Existing functionality includes purchasing new cards, checking balances, recharging cards, linking existing cards to an account, checking gameplay & past account activity.

New features include Virtual Arcade Integration, designed to keep operators’ customers engaged even when not at an attraction. With the addition of mobile games, guests can continue the branded experience on their phones to earn points redeemable at the arcade.

The app can also now utilise push notifications to keep customers informed with marketing messages and promotions.
