SPREE Interactive & Eurogames launch battery-powered VR Space Bumper Cars

SPREE Interactive, a leading provider of active free-roam VR experiences, has partnered with Eurogames, a manufacturer of battery-powered bumper cars, in order to offer VR Battery Powered Space Bumper Cars. For operators, this is an exciting and cost-effective way to offer guests a taste of the VR trend.

This builds on the success of the VR Bumper Car line licensed by VR Coaster, bundled with the interactive VR game Cyber Blaster.

“It is evident the vast curiosity of the virtual space is continuing to grow rapidly and after experiencing a popular demand with the Floor Pick-Up VR Bumper Cars we wanted to offer a similar worldwide solution for smaller FECs that sees physical objects of the real world accompanying players into the virtual world — in this case, a hover vehicle,” says Paul Collimore, SPREE Interactive’s commercial director.

VR experience for smaller spaces

SPREE launched the Floor Pick-Up VR Bumper Car attraction Cyber Blaster last year, in partnership with I.E. Park Soli Car. Now, the new VR Space Bumper Car attraction, with its four circular battery-powered cars only requiring a floor space of 7.5 metres by 7.5 metres (25 feet by 25 feet), offers a VR experience for smaller FECs or locations with limited spacing.

“Eurogames Battery Operated Bumper Cars can be enjoyed by anyone,” says Nicolas De Carlo, sales manager at Eurogames.

“They are powered with 2 maintenance-free 12V batteries and equipped with 330W direct drive double motors. They are controlled by two easy-to-use joysticks allowing a thrilling 360° driving experience and can be operated on any smooth and flat surface such as concrete, asphalt, wood, and so on.”

Cyber Blaster is set in the near future, where players must jump into their hover vehicles and protect the virtual world from an unknown techno virus.  More information on the initial installation and where to demo this new attraction will follow in the coming weeks.

Last year, SPREE Interactive also released a new virtual reality solution, based on the successful online and console game Dynablaster.
