Triotech, the award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has shared some early recovery results as attractions reopen following the COVID-19 crisis.

Triotech is pleased to be able to share some encouraging early results showing customer confidence as FECs and parks being to open their doors once again. The company has several hundred attractions deployed around the globe, in addition to thousands of popular coin-op products.

As attractions begin to recover from the period of closure, feedback from operators is key to gaining insights into guest confidence and behaviour. Parks in some areas of Europe and Asia have begun to welcome customers back, and some FECs in the USA are also reopening to the public.

Early signs encouraging

“Early returns have been more than encouraging, we have seen numbers that are even up from the same dates last year, even as high as 60% over the year before!” says Ernest Yale, Triotech’s Founder and CEO. These results have been gathered from FECs, parks and stand-alone attractions in the USA and Europe.

“The current crisis due to the pandemic is unprecedented. The entire industry, from operators to suppliers has been wondering what will be the consumer response to de-confinement, what will be the transition to the so-called new normal. Therefore, it is important to monitor the recovery”, says Yale.

Pent-up demand for fun and the desire of guests to get out and enjoy experiences together could account for these positive results.

“These numbers are great news for everyone. We know in the long run our industry, out-of-home entertainment, will thrive. It’s a fundamental human need to go out and live experiences in groups, with friends, and have fun. So, we might have a recovery in phases, with its inherent challenges including implementing hygiene and physical distancing rules from the relevant local authorities, but I am confident in the future”, adds Yale.

Earlier this year, Triotech announced high levels of demand for its new VR interactive simulator, The Storm.
