Reed MIDEM, the organiser of MAPIC, has announced more details ahead of this year’s LeisurUp event, which takes place within the wider MAPIC event at Palais des Festivals in Cannes from 30 November to 2 December.
LeisurUp is a unique event that brings together leisure partners and real estate players, allowing them to do business and network, as well as to discover new business models and explore the newest LBE trends. There will be 70 leading leisure exhibitors, an exclusive leisure workshop and several networking and conference events.
A reinvented MAPIC
This year, 50% of the annual MAPIC event in Cannes is dedicated to leisure and food concepts, reflecting the changes in the industry as a whole.
Nathalie Depetro, Director of MAPIC, says: “For the first time, 50 per cent of MAPIC’s exhibition space will be occupied by operators of the new retail mix – namely leisure, food & beverage, culture and digital retailers alongside more traditional retailers who will be unveiling new omnichannel strategies and innovative solutions for physical spaces.
“This year’s participants will enjoy a reinvented MAPIC dedicated to highlighting the new face of retail both today and tomorrow, not least in the exhibition area where major players in the commercial property sector will discover the many innovations that will undoubtedly enliven the landscape of the new lifestyle destinations they plan to develop or manage.”
