Alvarado Partners with Ticketek to Provide Self-Service Ticket Scanning for Australian Stadiums

News

Alvarado, a U.S. manufacturer of entry control products, has partnered with major ticketing system provider, Ticketek, to provide self-service ticket scanning at Australian Stadiums.

New projects for December 2014 included Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Blundstone Arena, however Alvarado and Ticketek have been working together for over 10 years to provide world-class ticketing technology and self-service ticket scanning in Australia.  There are now around 30 venues in the country using a Ticketek-Alvarado solution including Melbourne Cricket Ground, Sydney Cricket Ground, Adelaide Oval, ANZ Stadium and Central Coast Stadium.

The combination of Alvarado’s GateLink10 access control platform seamlessly integrated with Ticketek ticketing system ensures reliable validation of tickets, season passes and other credentials.

Alvarado's GateLink10 and admission control hardware allows venues to validate a variety of ticket media types (print, mobile phone, wristbands and plastic cards) while supporting the latest ticketing trends such as web-based transfers and print-at-home.  Technologies supported include 1D/2D barcodes, magnetic stripe, RFID and NFC. GateLink10 prevents fraud by providing fast, reliable and secure guest validation.

Self-scanning and physical entry control is provided by Alvarado admission pedestals, waist high admission turnstiles and handheld mobile validation terminals.
