Alvarado to Supply Gate Admission Technology for Chicago Auto Show

News

Alvarado, providers of automated entry systems and equipment for events and venues world-wide, have announced that they are to provide their gate admission technology for the Chicago Auto Show.

The Chicago Auto Show (February 14 – 22, 2015) is the US’s largest and longest-running auto show with almost 1, 000 competition, vintage and collectors’ vehicles exhibited over the 1 million sq ft show floor.

Alvarado will supply their admission system, which measures attendance using wireless handheld scanning devices, together with their GateLink10 admission software.  Key features of the technology include the facility for visitors to purchase tickets online with an option to print bar coded tickets at home or create a mobile phone based admission pass, as well as accurate entry counting.

General Manager of the Chicago Auto Show, Dave Sloan, explains that Alvarado’s technology has brought tangible benefits to the event: "We want attendees to have a pleasant experience and we need real-time attendee information.  Alvarado’s GateLink10 system validates tickets and credentials quickly which keeps entry wait times down.  The system provides us a host of usable information including a running total of entries and a comparison of tickets that helps us verify our box office receipts.”

This is the fifteenth year in a row that Alvarado, whose clients include NASCAR and Six Flags as well as professional sports teams, have worked with the Chicago Auto Show.

Alvarado’s excellent customer service is highly valued.  Sloan adds, “They take care of everything. They coordinate with our web development and ticketing providers, they set things up, train the operators and make sure that everything works correctly.”
