Attraktion!, a leading manufacturer of media-based attractions, has announced details of three installations featuring in Europe and North America.
Explorer 5D, an advanced stand-up motion system, was first realised at Malaysia and Jakarta Aquarium, with a further installation at Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium in Las Vegas and Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, both US. Cairns Aquarium Australia and Zoo Schmiding Austria also feature versions of Explorer 5D.

Trio of additions
First to open this year was an attraction at Austria’s Ikuna Park, with a middle-sized 20-guest capacity Explorer 5D. Stood on a motion platform in front of a 270° screen, visitors experience movies complete with wind and scent effects. Explorer 5D’s exterior design has been themed to complement Dinosaurs’ Awake, a film produced by Attraktion!’s in-house CGI Studio.
The second location at Harzdrenalin, Germany features a custom themed pre-show with special effects and a bespoke flyover film produced with Attraktion!’s high-speed drones.
At the end of September 2022, a third will open at ArboTerra Nature Park in Puebla, Mexico.
Specialising in state-of-the-art immersive attractions, Attraktion! also creates 4D/5D theatres, special format immersive theatres, dome attractions, entertainment robots, interactive group games and exhibits.
The firm also implements film production for diverse media-based attractions, reliant on the expertise of its hand-selected CGI creative team.
Attraktion! has also announced a collaboration with ride manufacturer and designer Intamin, resulting in Dome Ride Theater, a new concept designed to provide guests with a unique ride, featuring 360° uninterrupted views and special effects. A rotating, tiltable ring of seating inside the dome comprises floorless seats to deliver a thrilling and immersive experience.
