Capturelife, the digital delivery and engagement solution, has been acquired by ASG where it will join other industry-leading high volume photography solutions ImageQuix and PhotoLynx.
ASG is a software business that buys, builds and operates market-leading vertical SaaS companies, backed by Alpine Investors. It acquired ImageQuix in 2018 followed by PhotoLynx in 2019. ImageQuix provides end-to-end workflow management and e-commerce solutions to professional photographers, while PhotoLynx offers a quality suite of workflow, image and studio management solutions for photographers.
By adding Capturelife to this portfolio, ASG now offers a cutting-edge and diverse suite of products for the high volume photography industry.
A unique platform

“We are very excited to welcome Scott, his team, and the Capturelife solution to our portfolio,” says Rich Scanlon, CEO of ImageQuix and PhotoLynx.
“We are constantly looking to provide our High Volume Partners with a wide range of solutions that complement our industry-leading e-commerce and workflow products. Capturelife has built a unique platform to service the Enterprise and Experience space (travel, excursions, resorts, etc.) with a robust tool accommodating the needs of both end-users and Enterprises.
“In a post COVID world, we believe this is essential in providing a sustainable experience for the customer.”
Given the growth of the experience economy, creating digital memories is more important than ever. Capturelife, which was founded in 2015 by Scott DeFusco and Jeff Eckerle, helps experience creating brands, such as cruise lines, resorts, theme parks, and live event companies, harness the power that memories increase future revenue.
Capturelife will continue to grow
Since its inception, over 800 companies have used Capturelife to provide their customers with a modern and immersive experience, creating digital memories that result in a powerful ongoing connection, driving brand loyalty and revenue.
DeFusco will join Scanlon and the ImageQuix and PhotoLynx team to continue growing and building Capturelife while Ecklere will transition out of the business. Scanlon will become CEO of Capturelife effective immediately.
“We are both humbled and excited that we found a home and future with ASG,” says DeFusco. “As part of ASG, Capturelife joins the market-leaders in high-volume enterprise solutions, providing us with added depth and resources that will help accelerate our vision. With a strong company culture and respected and proven track record, they will ensure we are well-positioned for the rapid growth we see on the horizon.”
This deal marks the 32nd acquisition for ASG and the 3rd acquisition in photography technology software. Existing Capturelife customers can expect the same quality service and experience, with Capturelife and PhotoLynx integration remaining in place and further product offerings and integrations to come across the portfolio of solutions in the future.
The Capturelife digital technology platform allows for seamless photo sharing, meaning that guests can easily share, re-live and enjoy memories of their experiences at theme parks, live events and other attractions.
