After an exclusive evening at Europa-Park’s new Rulantica water park, finalists and industry leaders had a gala awards ceremony and dinner where Hologate were presented with their award. Having announced at the end of 2019 that Hologate now has over 5 million players, this Aurea Award highlights the company’s global status.
An award-winning product
The HOLOGATE BLITZ follows on from the successful HOLOGATE ARENA and offers theme park quality VR within an FEC footprint. It is a motion simulator platform that is designed to give users the experience of flying, racing or even going underwater in a unique VR experience. Up to 8 players can play together thanks to its multiplayer function.
The racing seat is adjustable, making it as comfortable as possible for players. Thanks to Hologate’s code design, motion sickness is eliminated, ensuring players can enjoy thrilling VR games without side effects.
The BLITZ can move almost a meter in height and tilt +30 degrees in every direction, giving players a full range of motion. In order to give players as much versatility when playing as possible, the steering wheel can be switched from one axis to 2 axis control. This allows them to switch seamlessly from flying to driving in the game.
Hologate also recently released DAS Boot – VR Escape, a new virtual reality experience for the HOLOGATE ARENA system. This is an immersive submarine experience and is based on the renowned film and TV series, Das Boot.
