Leading experience engineering specialist, INDE, has launched new augmented reality (AR) pet monkey hologram app in China for the Year of the Monkey celebrations.
‘Pocket Pet’ uses augmented reality technology that gives users a highly personalized experience: the animal appears in users’ own real world environment, just like a real pet.
The aim of the game is for players to entertain their pet and look after it properly so that it remains their companion for life. The app features a 3D environment where the monkey rests, and an AR view where the player can interact with the monkey.

Future updates will include exclusive unlockable content, video recording, and interaction with real life objects. Going forward, other animals of the Chinese Zodiac will be joining the monkey within the same app.

Pocket Pet can be downloaded for free at Google Play and the Apple App Store. It will also be available for free in China app stores Baidu and Wandoujia very soon. The app is suitable for ages 8 and up.
