Multi-media entertainment specialist, LCI Productions Ltd., has created a spectacular multi-media walk-through experience at Cheddar Gorge & Caves.
Dreamhunters – The Adventures Of Early Man uses state-of-the-art projectors, sound systems and lighting to tell the story of the earliest human cave dwellers.
The attraction, located deep inside Cox’s Cave, exploits the dramatic natural setting to full effect, taking visitors on a 100-metre, 30-minute journey through prehistory.
The story of man’s adaptation to cave dwelling is told in eight key phases including the discovery of fire and how humans protected their home from wild predators such as cave bears.
London-based LCI installed 16 video projectors, several kilometres of cabling, 55 LED lights and 8 underwater LEDs to create the multi-media experience.
Dreamhunters, opening this weekend, is part of an investment plan at Cheddar Gorge and Caves by its owner, Longleat Estate, which will also include new branding, as well as the redecoration of the buildings and shop-fronts in the Gorge.
