PGAV Destinations, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has provided the Museum Master Plan for Patriots Point, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Patriots Point is one of the premier visitor attractions in the Charleston region. Highlights of the attraction are the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier and the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum. PGAV’s Museum Master Plan focusses on creating a nationally prominent cultural destination on the 36 acre site surrounding the Yorktown.
Bob Simons, President of the Patriots Point Foundation, says, “PGAV’s assistance will be invaluable in creating a new vision for the Patriots Point facilities. We are looking to create an even bigger educational, tourism, and economic resource for the State of South Carolina.”
Mike Konzen, Principal of PGAV Destinations, says, “We are truly honored to be involved with such an iconic American destination and to have the opportunity to work with the Patriots Point Foundation.”
PGAV is working with Robert Wilburn of The Wilburn Group of Reston, Virginia, and Chris Cavanaugh of Magellan Strategy Group of Asheville, North Carolina, on the project.
