Titan the Robot Accepts 'Best Marketing Campaign' Award on Behalf of Toyota

Cyberstein Robots creation, Titan the Robot, continues to cause a stir in the Middle East.

The eight-foot tall mechanoid marvel was in the limelight once again as he took to the stage at the recent Okaz PRArabia National Auto Awards.

Titan the Robot Accepts 'Best Marketing Campaign' Award on Behalf of ToyotaWowing the audience at the ceremony in Jeddah on March 27th, Titan accepted an award on behalf of Toyota.

This honour reflected the robot’s pivotal role in helping the company to win ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ of 2016/2017. Titan caused a social media frenzy when he appeared at Toyota’s stand at the prestigious Saudi Motor shows in both Riyadh and Jeddah.

According to Mark Woods, Business Development Director at Cyberstein Robots, Titan’s huge popularity in Saudi Arabia has led to a robot being permanently stationed in Riyadh. This has opened up new markets for the company in Qatar and Bahrain, thanks to the reduced costs of shipping the equipment between these countries.

Toyota and Titan

Titan is the brainchild of Cyberstien Robots founder Nik Fielding who developed a love of robots after seeing classic sci-fi film RoboCop.

Since then, Titan has travelled the world, hanging out with A-list stars including Rihanna, Will Smith, Jackie Chan and Hugh Jackman.

This latest award rounds off a bumper 2016 for the tireless Titan. Key appearances included all the major venues in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island including Ferrari World. The robot also undertook a landmark tour of Malaysia where he attracted crowds in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Melaka, Ipoh and Penang.
