Accesso Strikes 5-Year Qsmart Technology Deal With Malaysia’s Movie Animation Park Studios

News

Global technology solutions provider to the attractions and leisure industry, accesso, has signed a 5-year deal with Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS), Malaysia to implement its patented smartphone-based queuing solution.

QsmartSM was seen as a no-brainer for Malaysia’s first animation theme park which is being built with state-of-the-art connectivity. The deal follows last year’s Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies which has allowed accesso to ‘forge deeper ties with attractions in the important Asian market’.

Accesso launched their LoQueueSM virtual queuing technology solution back in 2001 which has since been used by over 11 million guests. The system allows users to queue without having to stand in line.

“Our park is purpose-built for mobile connectivity which made incorporating the industry’s most advanced queueless technology – Qsmart – a necessity for us to provide to our guests, ” explained MAPS Chief Executive Officer, Darren McLean.

MAPS, located in Perak, is slated to open in 2016 and promises more than 40 rides, shows and attractions including the world’s first DreamWorks-dedicated zone, Malaysia’s tallest drop tower, and a live-action car stunt show.

“MAPS is one of the most unique and exciting projects underway in the leisure and tourism industry in Malaysia, ” commented Tom Burnet, accesso CEO. “We are thrilled with the role our technology will play in helping guests maximize their time in the park as well as drive incremental revenue for Movie Animation Theme Park Studios.”
