Busch Gardens parks in Tampa Bay and Williamsburg have announced new and reimagined coasters for next year.

In spring 2024, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will debut Phoenix Rising, a new family-friendly suspended coaster with on-board audio and a unique soundtrack to enhance the ride experience.

Riders will fly above the park’s Serengeti Plain before making their way across the Pantopia region as the ride cars swing from side to side. Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, Phoenix Rising features maximum speeds of 44 mph.

Elsewhere, Busch Gardens Williamsburg will fully restore its Loch Ness Monster attraction, the world’s first interlocking loop coaster, to offer new thrilling elements.

The 46-year-old coaster will include enhanced storytelling and innovative effects. More than 900 feet of the ride’s steel track is being replaced, and riders will enjoy new sights, sounds and surprises.

The ride experience starts with an improved queue experience, and during the first drop, guests will see something monstrous lurking beneath the water.

With the new additions, both parks will be home to 10 coasters. “For several decades, we have committed to delivering great thrills and one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

“We are excited to continue fulfilling that promise with both the addition of Phoenix Rising and the restoration of Loch Ness Monster.”

Last week, SeaWorld announced new marine-themed rides and attractions at all of its US parks for 2024, including the Penguin Trek coaster at SeaWorld Orlando.

SeaWorld San Diego will launch ‘Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience’, an immersive aquarium where guests can learn about jellyfish, while SeaWorld San Antonio will debut Catapult Falls.

“2024 looks to be another fun year with exciting new rides in our parks and our first jellyfish exhibit,” said Swanson.
