£37 million theme park development, Gulliver's Valley Resort, has gained approval fromRotherham councillors.
Awaiting the final go-aheadfrom the government, Gulliver's Valleywill include a theme park, adventure centre, camping facilities, woodland lodges, two hotels and a holiday village. The plan is to develop the 250-acre site into a Gulliver's Group resortover 12 years, in five phases.The BBC reports that Julie Dalton, Managing Director, said the company was"very pleased." She added, "We are confident that the Secretary of State will recognise the enormous benefit of our plans to the Rother Valley area and the local community.
"Our plans would transform an area of Rother Valley that has been disused for many years."
