Plans for a £37m Gulliver’s theme park in South Yorkshire have been recommended for conditional approval, according to Insider Media.

Gulliver’s Valley Resort will be aimed at children aged 2-13 years old. The park would feature a mix of outdoor and indoor attractions including a wooden roller coaster, log flume, rapid rides and pirate ship.

There would also be a range of accommodation options available.

The proposed 240-acre site near Rotherham was once earmarked for Yes! Project and, later, Visions of China.

Economic benefits to the region are expected to outweigh the sensitivity of the land’s green belt status.
